Kip's Desert Book Club
Dune by Frank Herbert
September 5, 2016

Put on your best stillsuit, sharpen your Crysknife and join us at the house of Tonelise when we discuss the classic desert science fiction novel, Dune, by Frank Herbert on September 5th. We would feel right at home on the planet Arrakis, with its creosote bushes and kangaroo mice. One should feel thankful that our scorpions and mojave greens aren't 100 meter long sand worms.

To get to the meeting place from downtown JT go down highway 62, then north on Sunburst, right on Golden, left on Border, keep your eye out for Pole and Del Oro signs and turn left on Winters, with the street sign and Book Club sign on the left hand side of the road. Drive about one mile and turn left on Mc Garry and Tonelise will be the 3rd fenced in house on the left. I'll make sure to have the big white signs out to guide you in. We will be meeting outside, weather permitting, so bring a folding chair if you have one.

The club has some amazing books coming up. In October we will be reading the novel 29 by Mary Sojourner and for November we will be reading Marshal South and the Ghost Mountain Chronicles by Diana Lindsay.
