Kip's Desert book club
The Fellowship by Roger Friedland and Harold Zellman
September 3, 2018 in Joshua Tree

Grab your best silk lined cape and Malacca cane because at 7 pm on September 3rd, we will be meeting at Andrea's house to discuss The Fellowship by Roger Friedland and Harold Zellman. It's the untold story of Frank Lloyd Wright and the Taliesin fellowship. Don't let the heft of this volume discourage you. It's chock-full of pictures and there's scandal on just about every page, so it reads rather quickly. If you run short on reading time, skip to page 335 where the adventure in the desert begins.
To kick off the 5th year of the Desert Book Club in October, we will be reading the novel In God's Trailer Park by Susan Lang. If you like her other work, you won't be disappointed.

To get to the meeting place, drive east on Hwy 62 and just outside of JT,  turn right (south) on the dirt road in front of the Bail Bonds office (Neptune), then follow my nifty white Book Club signs to guide you in. Plenty of parking is available if you continue past the house to the studio on the upper level. Bring a folding chair if you have one. Can't wait to see you there! –Kip
