A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Integratron for our very special screening of Alison O'Daniel's Night Sky, with live accompaniment from The Renderers!  The two sold out screenings brought together a wonderful audience of folks from our high desert community, as well as many who made the trek to Landers from Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland, and even New York.

Alison shot the film in and around the high desert communities of Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, and Landers including at the Integratron - so it was an extra special treat to be able to screen it in the Integratron dome, and on its 5 year anniversary!  To see the dome projected in the dome, to watch Joanne perform a sound bath on the big screen was truly a surreal experience.

Each screening of Night Sky is different, accompanied by either live sign language interpretation or musical accompaniment put together by the musicians specifically for the film.  We were honored to have legendary New Zealand band The Renderers (Maryrose and Brian Crook) share their musical interpretation of Night Sky - their unique brand of desert psychedelia filled the dome throughout the 75-minute film, with highlights including the nearly 10-minute opening overture, and epic accompaniment that further heightened the drama of the film's broken down car scene (you can watch a short clip of this scene, with The Renderer's live accompaniment, along with other photos from the evening, on the HDTS Instagram page.)

A huge thank you to Scoli Acosta, Kristy Campbell, Mark X. Farina, Eden Solas, and our friends at the Integratron: Joanne, Nancy, Travis, and Drayton - we love you all and are so grateful for everything you do for HDTS!

Thanks to all for sharing this incredible end-of-summer evening with us!
