Work-Trade Residency
The A-Z West Work Trade Residency program is an ideal way to experience life at A-Z West and to become part of our intimate community.
For 2–4 weeks residents work 8–10 hours per week around the compounds at A-Z West in exchange for lodging and studio space. They help with grounds, general maintenance, and in the ceramics studio producing A-Z West Containers, a key source of income for A-Z West.
We encourage residents to continue working on their own individual projects while at A-Z West, and provide small shipping container studios for residents to use. With advance permission, all residents can access the A-Z West weaving, wood and ceramics studios.
Applications for our Spring season (January 15–June 1) are due September 1 with a notification date of October 15. Applications for our Fall season (September 15–December 15) are due May 1 with a notification date of June 15.
